Established in April 1928, China Travel Service (holdings) Co. Ltd. (abbreviated as CTS (holding))was founded by early Chinese banker Mr. Chen Guangfu, Today it is one of the state-owned large-scale lead enterprises managed by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council. The core business of CTS (holdings) includes travel, industry invests (steel and iron), the related real estate development and distribution trade.

China Travel International Investment Hong Kong Limited is a holding company of CTS (holdings), it became a listed company via Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited in Nov. 1992. (HKEx Stock Code:308). Today it is a state-owned index company. Entrusted by the Ministry of Public Security of PRC, CTS (holdings) is the sole institution to issue "China Passport for Hong Kong Residence" and "Passport of Taiwan Residence"

The subsidiary of CTS (holdings), China Travel Service Hong Kong, is the biggest travel agency in Hong Kong, has 40 branches in Hong Kong and Macao, and 21 oversea branches in 16 countries, such as America, Canada, Australia, England, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand and so on. In mainland, CTS has 14 invested or joint-venture branches in Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao, Chengdu, Xi an, Xinjiang, Xiamen etc. Besides, CTS(holdings) took over Travel Company and 15 travel agencies in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen from China Investment Promotion Bureau. Tangshan Guofeng Steel and Iron Co.Ltd. located in Tangshan, Hebei, it is a comprehensive associated steel and iron company belongs to CTS (holdings). Its annual production reaches 5,000,000 tons steel, 5,000,000 tons iron, and 5,000,000 tons rolling steel. Guofeng Steel and Iron Co.Ltd. is the biggest producer of hot zonal rolling steel, and is the biggest producer of iron in Northwest China, what’s more, it is still the biggest provider of hot thin-zonal rolling steel of China.
